Scripture Reading: Mark 16:1-8; 1 Corinthians 15

No event in history or in the Christian faith is more significant than the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is why we sing, "Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!" A young Charles Wesley first introduced the beloved Easter hymn at the Foundry Meeting House in 1739.

Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!

Are you among the sons of men and women who say affirmatively, ”He is risen, He is risen indeed!”? Or do you attend church on Easter Sunday as a yearly habit and then return home to eat ham with your family? Instead, consider the overwhelming evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and then express your faith by singing,

Raise your joys and triumphs high
Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
