At Crossway Church, baptism is a celebration and illustration of the life of Christ in us. It’s also the first step of obedience a new believer takes in his or her relationship with Jesus. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, following Jesus’s example as a way of going public with our faith (Matthew 3:13-17).

A baptized believer says publically, “I have decided to follow Jesus!” Though baptism is not a condition of salvation, it is a crucial part of our testimony and says we indeed are followers of Jesus. Baptism is a requirement of church membership at Crossway Church.
