Christmas Tithe Challenge
In the spirit of the Magi who brought gifts to Jesus, the Christ child, will you accept the Christmas Tithe Challenge?
The Christmas Tithe Challenge is a Crossway generosity initiative that encourages each of us to give at least a tithe (10 percent) of our income to the Lord for three months, starting in December. If you find it difficult to trust God with your money, put Him to the test by accepting the challenge found in Malachi 3:10.
"For I the Lord do not change ... Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."
Tithing is the minimum expression of generosity in Scripture. It is also the starting point in our biblical financial stewardship and a springboard to New Testament grace giving. The Lord, who does not change, promises an abundant blessing to those who tithe.
Thank you in advance for accepting the Christmas Tithe Challenge.
Wise Stewardship Options for Year End Giving
Your financial gift by December 31, 2024 can create a tremendous tax advantage for you and will help support the ministry of Crossway Church. Consider these options.
-
Charitable IRA rollover. If you’re 70-1/2 years or older, you can give a rollover gift of up to $100,000 from your IRA, without adding a penny to your taxable income — converting tax dollars into kingdom treasure! Plus, it counts toward your required minimum distribution and offers tax benefits that don’t require you to itemize on your tax return.
-
Donating appreciated assets such as stocks or real estate can save you money on taxes and free up more funding for ministry. Please contact the business office of the church to execute these gifts.
- Cash gifts dated and postmarked by December 31 can generate a tax deduction.
Legacy Gifts
Have you considered making a legacy gift to Crossway Church? Legacy gifts make an investment in future souls, an eternal contribution that also lays up for yourself treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20).
