Legacy Giving
As Crossway Church, formerly Atlantic Shores Baptist Church (est. 1981), begins a new season of gospel ministry in Virginia Beach, Virginia, we anticipate the Lord doing even greater things to bring glory to His name. Communities like ours need strong and sustainable local churches like Crossway that glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who go and make disciples.
One way to help sustain the ministry of Crossway Church for generations to come is through legacy giving. Lifetime gifts are an important way to meet the needs of the annual ministry budget and other current needs, but a legacy gift is an investment in the future of the church.
Have you considered naming Crossway Church in your will?
By including Crossway Church in your financial planning, you are making an investment in future souls, an eternal legacy that also lays up for yourself treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20).
By letting us know of your intention to include Crossway Church in your will, we can plan better for the future and expand the scope of our gospel ministry accordingly. Please contact us to express your intention and/or request more information. A member of the Pastor's Stewardship Team will reach out to you.
Other Ways to Maximize Your Giving
-
Charitable IRA Rollover. If you’re 70-1/2 years or older, you can give a rollover gift of up to $100,000 from your IRA, without adding a penny to your taxable income — converting tax dollars into kingdom treasure! Plus, it counts toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) and offers tax benefits that don’t require you to itemize on your tax return.
- Donating appreciated assets such as stocks or real estate can save you money on taxes and free up more funding for ministry.
The above is not intended to be tax, legal, or financial advice. Please contact your financial advisor before making a legacy gift.
